Day 79 Darlot Gold mine

I was talking to Ness yesterday about payment for this job we are doing, I said seeing as it is a gold mine, I reckon they should pay us in gold! What do you reckon? I mean if we worked out the equivalent cost for my training, & then converted it to the current price of gold! I think it would be really cool to have a 8-10 ounce gold ingot sitting on the bench at home. Yeah an expensive paperweight I reckon!!

You will have noticed there was no blog last night, that is because we have very little phone or internet access. There is only one part of the site that gets a very weak signal & we go up there once or twice a day to check phone messages make urgent calls & check emails.

But as is usually the case, when you don’t want it the most, that is when you get stuff sent to you that you really cant be bothered with! My sister Heather sent me an email that was 9 megabytes! Ness & I sat up on the hill for 30 minutes waiting for it to download.... and the worst part about it was that we had already seen what she sent us years ago! Thanks Heather...... NOT!

Mel from Queensland wrote us an email and told us about her Anzac day, she also said that one of her friends had actually met me..... Small world hey! In a previous blog I mentioned that I often catch up with people in airports all over the country! So we think Australia is big but it really is quite small. Mel let us know where Clint works?

Many of you don’t know this, My brother in law Brad does as we have talked about it a few times..... But I am really only travelling the country and doing my safety talks in preparation for the next phase in my life, and that is Running for PM! The last ten years I have visited workplaces all around Australia, met many thousands of people, listened to their stories, heard their complaints and concerns, I have seen what is really happening with the country & the cities.... and I feel I am perfectly qualified to run the country! Help me everyone....

So now it is out I expect your support, my platform will be work hard & be rewarded, be slack & get nothing! I will automatically give the armed forces permission to deter illegal immigrants by blowing up their boats, I would support the aboriginal people by giving them their own state, they could call it Aboland! It would be run totally separate to the rest of the country, the aboriginal people could start their own businesses, Wineries, Rum distilleries & breweries, they could have their own government, and they can choose to live there or in one of the existing states, but if they choose not to live in Aboland then they have to conform to the other state rules & regulations! I would go ahead with nuclear power, pull all of our armed forces away from any other country except Australia, spend heaps more money on all of our sporting teams, scrap salary caps! Assassinate the ARL board (secretly, make it look like they all had “Accidents”) and make all politicians work in a “Normal” job 1 week per month!

That is just the start of my campaign, how do you reckon ill go? Will you vote for me? Any other policies you want to add? My husband has officially lost it...one night not doing a blog and he goes off tap!

Man I can’t wait to see the emails flow on this one..... especially from my sisters!

I missed Man Vs Wild last night, for some reason I could not get SBS reception, but it doesn’t matter as my youngest son watched it & told me blow by blow what Bear Grills did last night! I don’t know what was better..... What Bear did.... or listening to how excited Dan was at telling me what he did!..... When I get home Dangaz we will have a Bear Grills party, we will get all of his DVD’s and watch them one after the other!..... Poor kid, I feel sorry that my influence is wearing off on him...... But you will have a fun life Dan!  Let me know when it is Bear Grylles  night James & Dan and I sure I my girlfriends will volunteer to have me over.

While I am speaking about Dan, you have to get a mental image of this..... Now Dan weighs about 45KG, his 3yr old nephew Sam weighs about 25..... Dan went up to my sisters place yesterday and she has a bike with a Kiddy trailer (like a small trailer that little kids can sit in)

Dan decided he was going to take Sam for a ride!!!!.... What the!

I can actually get a vision of Dan riding a full size bike with the trailer on the back, and Sam laughing and screaming at Dan to “Go faster Mr Muscles” (Mr Muscles is Sam’s name for Dan)...... If only someone got that on You Tube!

Murphy’s law...... Ness & I(ahh I think that would be you while I was lying in the pool reading my book) spent hours on Friday cleaning Dolly, we firstly washed her, then chamoised her dry, then did all the door jambs, windows, cleaned under the guards, then brought out the polish and even tyre blacked her tyres..... Fast forward to Sunday arvo, we drove down 70km of dirt road & she was still quite clean...... Apparently it rained on Sunday night – Monday morning (I didn’t hear it but Ness tells me it did)..... the drive out to site was mud galore...... cut a long story short.... she is filthy, there is mud everywhere, so depressing just looking at her after seeing how clean she was!..... Bet if we did not clean it there would be no sign of rain!

Back in internet range tomorrow..... stay tuned for Blogs galore.

Love from your future Prime Minister & President of Australia..... Oh I forgot to mention my views on a republic..... Maybe tomorrow.  Oh...does that mean I am the future first lady!!  Watch out Mrs Obama.

so...if you say those that work hard will be rewarded, what will become of you?!

as for aboland...do you think they'll take some blacks from america, if so I'd fully support you!

and what are your views on gay marriage!?!

forgive me...it's been a crazy few days, drunk driver drove through our glass lobby doors on saturday night in a 4WD, and it took 6 hours to get the truck out of the lobby, and will take up to four months to sort insurance and repairs, luckily no on injured, but whole experience somewhat surreal!!

I have been thinking all day and I have come to the conclusion that the only good thing about you becoming prime minister is the fact that you have vanessa to organise you and we will no longer have to look at Therese Rein in the fashion pages, we get to look at Vanessa's hippy clothes LOL! (much more stylish)
I am sure her earings and shoes alone are worthy of a four page spread in womans weekly!
