Day 85 Leinster to Sunrise Dam Gold Mine

Ok... so I started this blog 85 days ago as a way to let family & friends know where we were & what we were doing, it was also so you could comment on our travels. I then took it further & shared some of my strange thoughts & ideas with you all...... All in all some harmless fun & frivolity.

But!!!!!......

Some of you are taking it too far!

Comparing me to Pauline Hanson is just downright rude!

Not once have I referred to the indigenous people as “Abo’s” yes I admit I have called them Blackfella’s & the State I would create for them would be “Aboland” But they freely refer to themselves as Blackfellas & I can guarantee you I have had more contact with aboriginal people than any of you! (Well apart from my sister who teaches at a school where 80% of the kids are aboriginal!) And from the discussions that I have had with them most of them would prefer to live in a separate state! I also have given you my opinion on illegal immigrants, and I stand by it..... you get out here & see where they should live.... I’m guessing all of you that criticize me would be fine with it until they moved next door to you? Took your job, & did your kids out of a childcare place because they “Needed it more”.

So read what I say and take it as my opinion only, sure it might sound like I am doing a “Pauline”.... but I am entitled to my views & opinions.

Heather & Nikki..... you both live in million dollar houses, get out of your ivory towers & see what really goes on out here & you might do a “Pauline” too! This is where I say my name is still Vanessa Gay. :)

Now on to other stuff, might just have to stick to the travel guide & information..... too many of you are critical of my views...... When I am PM I will also have a secret “Hit Squad” & trouble makers will “Disappear”.

Today we drove from Leinster to Sunrise Dam Gold Mine, only a short drive of 300km. On Saturday I washed Dolly (Again) and had her looking sparkly. We could have got to this site two ways, one was all dirt road, the other was 250km on tar & then 50 on dirt..... seeing as Dolly was all clean we decided to take the tar......we made it almost to the site & then came across roadworks!....on the dirt road! So the water truck was wetting the road & the car & caravan are now filthy! So twice now I have washed the car & the next day it is filthy again! Maybe there is a message here?

This week we are at a site I have been to before, about 6-7 years ago, I just can’t remember it! When you think about it I visit so many different sites, they all end up looking the same to me..... So I really can’t remember too much about it.

We are winding down for the trip home, really we only have until Sunday to work and then we start the trip back across Australia. The blog will continue on the trip home, we will hopefully cross the Great Australian Bight when the whales are there..... they are usually breeding between May & August so we will hopefully see some.

Anyway we have internet & phone but no TV reception here on site, but do have access to the VIP Guest house..... which has TV, they offered to let us stay there but we are happy in Bart (the caravan).

See you soon...... Hey we really will see most of you soon! Cool huh?

 James

stop sooking
you and I both know that you want to be a ranga! it just doesn't suit your skin tone LOL!
all I am trying to convey with my comments is that people are people, some good ,some bad
so you cant say put them in another state because you have met a few that tried to steal your beer when you didn't want to share it
I think you should keep up your opinions on your plans for Australia and we can just agree to disagree

PS: would you like to buy my million dollar house? so I can make a tidy profit
PSS: old Pauline looked quite good in the last edition of womans weekly

here here Heather, he should continue with his opinions, and stop sooking, if you're gonna be PM you need to grow some thicker skin and maybe a bigger pair!

Way to rub in that you'll be seeing everyone soon...

Maybe you could send Ness to Vietnam when you get back so I can see her!

:)

Keep on blogging!

Gotta say some of your thoughts are very Paulinish however if people don't like them you could always have their citizenship revoked and send them to the other side of the world! As most Australian ancestors got to the country that way it should be like a discovery of their heritage - besides, the UK needs more hard workers the way that country is going. As for Pauline - she won't be moving to NZ anytime soon, she got hassled at airport over her convictions when she tried to get in on her most recent holiday. See that's how you check your borders!!!!!
I like your blog James. It has amused me, made me laugh out loud and miss Australia. It has also wowed a lot of my friends here in NZ who I have shown the site to. They love the thought of doing what your doing and most of the girls want Dolly and Bart (lesbians have taste in some things lol). As for your missus, well if she reverts to the Gay surname you could always hyphonate it so she would be a Wood-Gay or Gay-Wood (my preferred is the second one however would feel very sorry for any off spring that come along).
Anyway, gotta go pretend I know what I'm doing for another day - one day I'll get tired of surfing the interweb thingy!!

come on james.
Ive been enjoying your blog too. Love that your having a great time together.

If we all had the same opinions it would be a pretty boring place. We're all good people , Just that only some of us are right.
Oh and even though I am very greatful for your offer as MInister of Indigenous Affairs (not quite put that way) Ill have to decline . Dont cope too well with conflict.
Take it easy. Hi Ness.

wow as they say never discuss politics amongst good friends!!!!

Differing opinions makes thisworkd a bloody good place to live in.

Ivory freakin tower you dag.

I would give an illegal hard working immigrant a job any day over the Australian gen Y pains in the ass or the lazy trailer park trash that only come for interviews to clock up their centrelink credit points or the long term unemployed that think getting the dole is a prouder moment than doing a honest days cleaning work. I have approx 5 aussies working for me out of 240 staff . I have worked two jobs since I was 14 including washing the rich boys clothes at college. I earnt that house.

I think your views are hilarious James and some are even on the verge of being valid so do keep sharing. We're enjoying hearing about the good the bad and the ugly parts of your adventure as well as your perception of it all. Your thoughts and opinions make up who you are and this blog was created with that in mind so continue. Vanessa provides a positive balance to keep the Blog sane so you have nothing to worry about anyway. lol

SO......

I realise that you have a certificate stating that you are an Australian citizen thesedays but do all of your blog readers realise ( and maybe I even have to remind you) that you migrated to Australia when you were 8? I don't see how our family is any different to an illegal immigrant seeking a better life for themselves in Australia. Keep in mind that most don't have the luxury of seeking permanent residency as our parents did before arriving in Australia.
I myself had to reapply for permanent residency before coming back to Australia in 2008. So for me to take any other view on this would feel hypocritical. If I didn't have that opportunity available to me I was desperate enough to jump on a bloody boat and sail here myself!!! Would you have blown me up? lol Andrew arrived to live permanently in Australia for the first time and has taken a full time job away from a bona fide Aussie. How is he different to an Illegal immigrant other than going through the correct procedures to enter Australia?
